Jeff & I got married at the Redlands Country Club on
November 9th 2002. The original plan was to have the ceremony out on the
patio overlooking the golf course under a rod iron gazebo we had rented. We woke up to
rain the day before our wedding. Jeff got a kick out of singing the verse
from Alanis Morrisette's song "Ironic" -"It's like rain on your
wedding day...." It then
proceeded to rain until 7pm or so Saturday night. And when I say rain I mean
pour steadily. In some instances it took our guests hours to make it to the
wedding. We made the best of things and opened the bar, located inside the
reception area, and everyone enjoyed a cocktail while watching the ceremony.
Below are some photos of our day.
Those that attended the wedding were able to
hear my father, John Coppage, toast us. Jeff's father, Jack
Freeman, passed away August 25th, 2002. Since he was the "matchmaker" in our
getting together again I was pleased that my Dad's Toast recognized Jack.
